Geolink to photos and information

Southwest Railroad History is an exploration of the railroad features visible today on the spectacular landscapes of the Southwest.  The website features a new map of all existing and abandoned railroad lines in the Southwest, with the year in which each line was constructed, the railroad company that built the line, the original track gauge, whether tracks are still present, and the current track gauge (or most recent gauge if tracks are removed). Geo-located links contain photographs of railroad features that can be seen today on Southwest landscapes, with interpretative text on the historical and geomorphic controls of the railroad routes and features.

These photographs and many more are explained in the Geolinks.
